The Irish Association for Palliative Care (IAPC)

The Irish Association for Palliative Care (IAPC) is an all-Ireland body that aims to promote palliative care nationally and internationally through education,publications,representation on national bodies and opportunities for networking.As a sole membership organisation for those involved in the provision of palliative care, the IAPC is the primary collective and expert voice for palliative care in Ireland.The membership reflects the entire spectrum of all those who work in or have a professional interest in the provision of palliative care.

The core objectives of the IAPC are to:

• Strengthen the capacity of the palliative care sector through developing the professional capacity of individuals
• Promote the palliative care agenda through the Association's collective & expert voice
• Drive patient-centred, equitable and accessible palliative care for all who need it through utilizing the Association's expertise to influence and shape national policy

All Ireland Institute of Hospice & Palliative Care (AIIHPC) is a leading organisation with national and international influence driving excellence in palliative care. AIIHPC is a collaborative of hospices, health and social care organisations and universities on the island of Ireland. AIIHPC advances education, research and practice to improve the palliative care experience of people with life limiting conditions and their families.

As the palliative care sector's institute, AIIHPC is:

• involving service users, carers and communities in palliative care delivery and development
• working to integrate palliative care across the health system so people are supported as early as possible
• supporting the development of specialist palliative care services for everyone who needs them
